Sample AI Visibility Audit: Delta Flow tested itself first.

This is a real audit of our own brand, not a client. We ran the same test we run for customers, and we are publishing the results as they were, including the weak ones.

How we tested

The test: 20 customer-style prompts asked in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude on 1 October 2026, which makes 60 answers. Prompts were asked in a fresh chat without logging in, with one exception: the Perplexity answer to the legitimacy question was given after login and is less reliable.

The prompts covered brand-name questions about Delta Flow and category questions such as which agencies help brands appear in AI search. No client data is shown on this page because this audit was run on our own brand.

In plain words: when a customer asked a general question, AI tools did not mention Delta Flow at all. They only found us when the question already contained our website address.

What AI said when asked if Delta Flow is legitimate

  • ChatGPT: read the site and named the founder correctly. It noted that the domain is new, that contact is a Gmail address and that there were no independent reviews. Verdict: mixed.
  • Claude: read the site and called it reasonable, treating the no-guarantee wording as a good sign. It noted that there were no case studies, testimonials or company registration details. Verdict: mixed.
  • Perplexity: raised red flags based on scam-checker websites. This answer was given after login and is the least reliable of the three.

What confused the AI tools

  • A shared name: many unrelated businesses use the name Delta Flow, including trading indicators, construction software, industrial piping, flow meters and water services. AI tools described those instead of our agency.
  • A gap filled by someone else: in one answer, Perplexity gave the GEO and AEO work to a different company with a similar name, because it could not find ours.
  • The word GEO: in some answers it was read as a TV network or as geospatial work.

Gaps found

Few signals outside the website

The site was technically sound and indexed, but there were almost no reviews, directory listings or independent mentions for AI tools to verify.

Weak brand clarity

The name was written several ways and nothing separated us from other companies with a similar name.

No proof on the site

There were no case studies or sample results, so claims could not be checked.

What we changed after the baseline

  • Added structured data, a clear description of who we are, and a note that Delta Flow is not affiliated with similarly named businesses.
  • Published a pricing page and an AI Visibility Audit page, plus an llms.txt file describing the business for AI tools.
  • Created consistent profiles on Clutch, Crunchbase, Trustpilot, LinkedIn and Google Business Profile, all using the same name and description.
  • Added this sample audit as the first piece of proof. We have not added reviews or client case studies, because we will only publish real ones.

We will test the same 20 prompts again two to four weeks after the changes and publish what moved, whether it improved or not.

Limits of this audit

  • It is a single-day test. AI answers change between runs, so patterns only become reliable after several rounds.
  • Claude and ChatGPT do not always show whether an answer came from live search or from training data.
  • Statements about the domain age came from AI answers and were not independently verified by us.
  • Competitor information comes from their own websites and public lists. We did not assess the quality of their work.

We do not promise rankings or AI mentions, because no one can. This audit shows where a brand stands and what is within its control.
